Working in the construction industry for over 30 years, Jon Hale knows a thing or two about the importance of doing layout on job sites. The problem was that no simple all terrain handheld tool existed for creating a line—outside of a coffee can screwed to a stick or a big plastic cup with holes in the bottom. Chalking over dirt or rough terrain meant lots of bending over, and usually a sore back.
Jon was determined to build a real tool that could do the job. And do it quickly, accurately and in a way that would be easier on the back. With a design in mind, he teamed up with award-winning tool designer Christian Hansen. Today, the Lineer Layout Tool is the contractor’s choice and is the fastest, most ergonomic way to chalk a line on the job site.
